No, it's not a time safer. Holding a wheel in hands is faster than doing this on a frame. 😉 Still, I actually looking for a frame spreader because I want to upgrade my frame from hub gear to derailleur gear. It would be worth a try if this tool wasn't more expansive than a new frame. 😂

Useless tool for modern forks where have the crown shoulder bigger diameter than crown race... Tool keep sliding and there is no grip to pull crown race from steerer... Waste of money...

I have this tool and I broke separately mounted aluminum derailleur hanger by using it. It is only a good option for sturdy hangers which are part of a frame (preferably made of steel).

We use these stands for our shop ... the negative thing is that it has lift power limit. When lifting cargo bike, we have to help with manually lifting the bike or it will stop right from the start. Moreover, the clamp handle is in a very awkward position and location!

I spent a year trying to get one of those, and had to just give up because nobody could get one. As an individual consumer it is sadly hard to acquire your tools when you know what you want, because even though you can find certain items here and there, most shops are rather unwilling to get anything else or they claim in the end they just couldn't. You got good tools, but as an individual consumer it just doesn't work. It looks more suited for bike shops who order more in one go.

What a horrible tool, who thought this was needed, bet its no quicker than removing the wheel and can guarantee if a customer saw you using this tool they won't be a repeat customer.
